This was, like logo design, my first venture into designing a business card. the video above shows what I have done in this regard. I am quite happy with the result though I will keep improving this design after I get some feedback from my peers as I do believe it can still be improved somewhat though I am happy enough with it to give out to others.
I failed to mention that I did show this design to the design related students that I know and got a few pointers from them about the gray colour and tried a few things like gradients or other colours but I took a slightly lighter gray in the end as it stuck the most with my other stuff and I simply didn’t like the gradient.
I will also keep improving this design after i gain some feedback from my peers as I do believe it can still be improved somewhat though I am happy enough with it to give out to others.
Before this I had never really created a proper CV. I had occasionally created a list of my skills and education/ cv for part-time jobs but I had never put much thought into it. This time I decided to make it more graphically interesting and, hopefully, more appealing. Not being much of a graphical designer I decided to use some templates.
For the logo design I enlisted the help of some friends from my education in the Netherlands as I myself have little to no experience in the field of graphic design let alone logo design.
Video discussing the logo design:
Since the creation of the video I have not made too much progress when it comes to the design of the log. The ideas are currently still being tossed around to make it more friendly for square/circular use. The current idea we are working with is replacing the R in Roy with an R that has the audio jack integrated into it as it would require the least amount of reworking for the rest of the logo. We have no real sketches of that one yet or anything other than what was shown in the previous video about the W with the audio jack.
With the website portion of the work I wanted to focus on improving the layout and readability of the website that I made during my previous education. The goal is to create something acceptable that I can send out to potential internships ASAP.

http://craigdeskins.com simple, has good amount of content. Though its aesthetically less pleasing to me it does have a show reel and starts off with some content.
The first task for Creative Platforms was to go through a bit of a list of questions and figure out what the industry would require of me. below is that list.
Research – What Industry?
Video game development, preferably AA development.
What Role in that industry?
(Technical) Sound Designer, a mix between audio design and audio system creation
Job Posting for Technical Sound Designer at Ubisoft
What content do you already have? what are you planning over the coming year that can be included?
https://www.roywilmer.com/ has some content worth considering though it is outdated and there is an updated version of the Ragnarok project that I still need to include. During my time at Portsmouth I will be creating another piece for my portfolio during the Create Worlds course and the Sound for moving Image course.
Industry experience? Get a placement sorted and contacts to gain feedback on your work.
I have contacts with Jonathan van Wijngaarden (current composer/sound designer) and when my portfolio is more presentable I intend to start setting up proper contact with Digital extremes and Studio Gobo.

In the video below I talk about some of the points that I wasn’t able to put in the other videos as well as the SWOT analysis and how it relates to how I will be improving myself and this website/branding in the future. The video itself is simply a screen shot that I talk over as I didn’t feel that any video I had fit the topic
